Made at Department: A year shaped by our members

madeatdepartment1

What an incredible year it’s been for our members – full of growth, moves, and milestones. “Made at Department” is our way of celebrating the members who built big, grew fast and dared boldly, right here in our spaces.

From Exchange to Expansion

Credit Canary joined our Exchange programme to accelerate investment readiness, and has since grown to a team of 8 taking a permanent home at Campfield. With a Series A investment on the horizon, we can’t wait to see what’s around the corner for them next year.

Orrest Digital have progressed through Exchange’s Startup Programme to the Growth cohort, and have since taken private workspace at Campfield to power their next phase of social media innovation for the retail industry.

Omni Agency started their growth journey with us renting just a few resident desks, but after completing the Exchange Programme, they’ve now moved into a private workspace at Campfield with their eight-strong team.

Moving without limits at Department

Ultimate Agency and Ideas by Music both made the leap from Bonded Warehouse to Campfield this year, drawn by the energy, connections, and creative focus that make it the perfect home for ambitious creative and tech companies.

Creative agencies flock to Bonded Warehouse

Bonded Warehouse has established itself as the heart of Manchester’s creative scene in St John’s, with McCann and Weber Shandwick choosing the building as their home -cementing its reputation as the city’s go-to destination for Manchester’s top creative agencies.

Rumpus, a Certified B Corp PR agency, moved from Altrincham into Campfield and celebrated the UK’s 10th B Corp anniversary with an inspiring afternoon of storytelling, insight, and conversation in our event space at Campfield.

Shining stars

No celebration would be complete without mentioning awards, and this year several of our members are well on their way to filling a trophy cabinet.

Ben Etches (Sineco) was named on the Tech Climbers “One to Watch” shortlist for his AI-driven music technology.

Ken Eckersall (KenEck) was recognised for his work bringing immersive technology into schools by Entrepreneur UK.

Hip Pop, the Manchester-based soft drinks brand, has recently expanded in their space at Bonded Warehouse and have just been recognised as a Top Launch in carbonates by The Grocer.

And in a truly landmark moment, the Mines Advisory Group (MAG) at Department XYZ won The Hilton Humanitarian Prize at a ceremony in New York, the largest humanitarian award of its kind. Only the fourth British organisation ever to receive it, MAG now has an even greater platform to expand their life-saving work for the 60 million people still affected by landmines and unexploded ordnance worldwide.

Growth at Leeds Dock

Leeds-based Serviced Marketing Agency progressed from resident desks to a private office suite at Department Leeds Dock. This move has given their team flexibility, privacy, and a workspace they genuinely love, setting them up for even more growth in 2026.

Fox Agency at Department Leeds Dock has expanded across the pond, opening a second office in Denver alongside its New York office, strengthening its B2B tech marketing presence in North America.

From catwalks to centre stage

English National Opera chose Campfield as their Manchester based office, highlighting its growing appeal as a northern home for London-based creative organisations.

In September, Manchester Fashion Week transformed Campfield into a dynamic catwalk, showcasing emerging talent and established designers alike. They loved it so much that plans are already in place for next year’s return.
