We’re Gordon Bateman, Founder & CEO of ClimbUK, and Pilar Rubio, Commercial Operations & Strategic Programs Manager. ClimbUK is the UK’s Festival of Business Growth. What project did you collaborate on, and how did it come about?
We collaborate with Bobble Digital as our digital marketing partner for ClimbUK, which has now become a cornerstone partnership for us. The collaboration came about through natural conversations within the Department space, where we quickly realised there was a shared mission around innovation, growth, and community.
How did being part of Department help make this collaboration happen?
Being part of Department gave us direct access to a creative and entrepreneurial network. From design talent to logistics and event support, we found collaborators just a few desks away. The Department team was hands-on and always open to finding ways to help – the space and the mindset made it a perfect place to build momentum.
What’s the biggest benefit of working with fellow co-working members?
The biggest benefit is the accessibility of expertise. You’re surrounded by people doing bold, interesting work, and there’s a culture of sharing and support. That leads to collaborations that might never happen in a more siloed environment. It’s energising and practical at the same time.
