Since opening our doors, Department Leeds Dock has become home to a thriving community of creative and digital agencies shaping Leeds’ next chapter. Set on the waterfront, it’s a place where ideas come to life, where designers, tech innovators and media minds share space, stories and the occasional cocktail in a neighbourhood that never stands still.

One of those businesses is Finn Comms, a creative agency helping consumer brands grow by securing distribution and driving demand. Founded by Rich Rawlings, Finn brings together experienced strategists and fresh creative thinkers to deliver campaigns for well-known names including Rowntree’s, Protein Works and Jason’s Sourdough.

Rich and his team joined us around eighteen months ago, looking for what he describes as “a fresh start.”

“We’d been in our own offices before, which became expensive to maintain and, frankly, a bit of a depressing space,” he says. “It’s nice to come somewhere fresh — somewhere with loads of variety. Restaurants, bars, places to go, a really nice location. Massive variety of facilities, whether that’s a gym, great parking or the bar downstairs. Clients love coming here.”

It’s that mix of practicality and personality that we’ve always tried to build into Department. Beyond the studios and meeting rooms, our members find the kind of energy that sparks collaboration and keeps creativity flowing long after the workday ends.

For Finn, the move wasn’t just about a new address, it was about joining a like-minded community in a space designed for ideas to grow. And for us, having teams like Finn here is exactly what makes Leeds Dock such a special place to work.
