At Department, we love seeing members come together to do brilliant things. This time, it’s a creative collaboration between Zealous Agency and Out of Bounds Studio — two teams who’ve been working together for a while, but since becoming neighbours at Leeds Dock, things have stepped up a gear.
Meet the Teams
Zealous is a talent and creative agency run by sisters Sarah and Maya. They connect people across marketing, digital and design with jobs they’ll love — all with a human, honest approach.
Out of Bounds is the creative studio led by Jamie. They help ambitious businesses build brands and websites that don’t just fit in — they stand out.
The Work
The collaboration first kicked off when Zealous launched and needed a brand and website that really reflected who they were. Jamie and the team at Out of Bounds brought that to life — creating a clean, bold look that stood out in the industry.
Since then, they’ve worked together on more design, motion graphics, merch and digital content — keeping the Zealous brand moving forward as they grow.
“Jamie just got our vision straight away,” says Maya. “The website has always been a big talking point — people ask about it all the time.”
“Being in the same space now means we can have a quick chat in the kitchen or bounce ideas around over coffee,” adds Sarah. “It’s made everything easier.”
How It’s Grown
Working side by side has opened up even more opportunities. One recent example: Form Create, the creative team at Form Property Group, loved the Zealous website — not knowing it was made by Out of Bounds. Once they found out, they got in touch and started their own project together.
“That all happened thanks to conversations in the building,” says Jamie. “It’s the kind of thing that just wouldn’t happen over email.”
Why Department?
“It’s relaxed but professional. You get to know people naturally,” says Jamie. “We’ve shared ideas, projects, even contacts — it’s helped us grow as a business.”
“You feel part of something here,” says Sarah. “It’s creative, it’s friendly — it just works.”
At Department, we’ve always believed that good things happen when the right people share a space. This collaboration is a great example of that.
